In the heart of Azille, in the Languedoc Roussillon region of France, this large (50m2), south facing, studio-style apartment is on the ground floor of a former, 19th century, wine producer's property. The accommodation has been sympathetically refurbished and is well equipped.
Languedoc Roussillon has everything for a holiday in France. In a search for rental accommodation, this comfortable French cottage gite which sleeps 2, on a self catering basis, is perfectly set for a Languedoc holiday in Azille, at the heart of the Minervois wine region.
Languedoc Roussillon, is the largest French, wine producing department. Year-round, there are local, seasonal events to which holiday visitors are welcomed.
Come and stay in the friendly village of Azille. The rental accommodation in a French cottage gite sleeps 2 and a self catering Languedoc holiday means plenty of opportunities to taste local life in street markets and waterside restaurants.
Spring - acacia and fruit trees blossom, vines burst into growth, there are traditional open air Easter feasts and Azille explodes into life with the May Day Feria.
Summer - the sun is high in the sky, new grapes swell, people take to the water at the local lake, restaurants and bars welcome the world and families flock to local festivals in all the villages.
Autumn - grape harvests, villagers celebrate and sample the young Minervois wines, chestnuts, onions and other produce for which they are known throughout Languedoc, at Hallowe'en the children of Azille dress up and run through the streets with pumpkin lanterns.
Winter - vines sleep but not the villages where log fires burn (this French cottage gite has a large, open stone hearth), streets and houses are decorated for Christmas and New Year and Mardi Gras is carnival time in Azille!
Any time is the perfect time for your Languedoc holiday.
